I´ve heard that babies and small kids love silky tags, and I know one special little girl who loves tags, buttons and pearls. So I made her this pillow of fabric of different color and texture, pearls and some buttons for her to play with. I hope she will enjoy it!

BIGGER AND BETTER

I bought a new flat. Bigger and better, and with a spare room as well. This room will be my new workspace. So I have a bunch of bigger projects running at the time. Redecorating my kitchen for example..wich I will document and put on the blog later. I´ll be back!

OVERSIZED MUSHROOM-HAT

I knitted this hat trying out a pattern for a thinner yarn and thinner needles. I redused the number of stitches, but it still turned out too big. Then I tried schrinking it, but it wouldn´t. Anyone up for a baggy mushroomhat for free?

LIGHT AS A FEATHER

My uncle in marriges mother was a millinery. When she past away they stored a lot of her stuff in the attic. My cousins have all good heads on their shoulders, but I don´t think they´ve got their grandmas kreativity. This christmas they decided to give the lot to me!!! I´ve never worked with feathers before, but I think in time I will find lots of nice ways to use them.






I´ve looked around in the great world web and founs some pretty things for inspiration. 2 pictures are off corse from my favuorite show "Sex and the city".










At night I can´t sleep. I´m like a kid who wanna stay up and play with all the new toys she got for christmas.

I made some fake peppermint candy for christmas. I won´t eat them anyway so they might as well be fake.

COOKIE-BASKET

I made these for the girls I´m touring with, and their small families. One can use them folded for nuts, cookies or slices of bread, and upright for baguettes of breadsticks. Inside I have stitched the initials of the girls.

I made these cones some years ago but I wasn´t really pleased with the result. I´m gonna use a different type of wool next time. But now that I´ve dressed them up with ribbons they don´t look too bad after all. The only thing is that I would not put any candy in them. Hopefully I´ll be able to sell thembefore x-mas.

I´ve just a mobile for my friends unborne baby. The mother-to-be want a cute and light mobile, but in stores there are only big clumpy mobiles. So I´m making this with butterflies and one with gold fish, and then she can choose. It´s almost too cute, and i might try to keep it for myself...no I won´t...yes, I will...no, I won´t..

MORE HATS

Using the autum to knit..more hats...but this time for my own christmasgifts or on request from others. Using doubble marisol alpacca and glass pearls.

KNITTING-INJURY

I knitted a hole in my finger! I don´t even know what happend. Guess it´s time to do something else for a while...

GRANNYS DRESS

My gandma past away last winter and I found a dress in her attic. She is a rubust farmer-woman from an island on the westernmost coast of Norway, so she kind off has a different bodyshape than I have. I took the dress because I liked the fabric thoug I knew it would not fit me cause it was tylor-made. I was thinking about using the fabric for som other projects, but i changed my mind. I have a friend back home who is married to a seemstress so I went to her place to ask her advice on how to attac the dress. We cut of the arms, slimmed the waist and breast-area, and she showed me how to put the arms back on. Wich I did when I got home. I shortened the whole dress as well from leg- to knee-lenght. And I spiked it with a vespa-stitching in bright orange. All in all it was a much biggr project than I thought it was. Luckily I didn´t know I was way over my head when I started, so I´m quite proud of the result!! And I think granny would be to!

MITTENS

I´ve made my first mittens. I used eskimo yarn, and my cousins pattern.

DECORATIVE TILES (50 KR pr stk)

At the beach in south of France i collected these pieces of broken tiles and china. They´ve been brushed by the sand and the salt water. You can still see that some of them are parts of a plate or a kitchentile, but all the ruff edges are gone. I thought they would make beautiful natural jewlery. They are all for sale, just leave a note.

TRAINCARD

My cousin has got a press to punch out letters and figures. I tried the trainfigures on a plane white paper, and with the orange background it turned out quite a nice piece. I´ve had a thing for orange the past year.And I love orange together with white and beige tones.

BACK TO CHILDHOOD-ART

At my parents place we have a big jar of plastic beads for my nieces to play with. When we are together it´s one of my favourite activities with the kids. This time it brought back some childhood caracters of mine when I was searching for embroderypatterns.

BREADBASKET

My cousin got married the 18th of august. So I made her a breadbasket. One can use it folded down for slices of bread or breadrolls, and unfoldet, stright up, for french bread and baguettes. In the bottom of the basket i stitched the date of the weddingday, so they can see it every (sunday)morning.



This is not my new project, but it´s kind nof down the same road.

OLD YARN FOR A NEW PROJECT

I have borrowed a hole lot of embrodery-yarn from my late grandma. My aunt says nothing will be made as long as it stays in the drawer. I´ve tried to sort them out and turn them from a big multicolor ball into individual "balls". I´m finally all out of babywoll-yarn, so it´s time for something new. And I have a plan! Stay tuned for the development of my new project.

BABYBLANKET

Used 5 1/2 balls of babyyarn, started with 4 stitches in one corner and added one stitch for every turn till half way (300 stitches), then I lost one till I got to the next corner. Last time I knitted a babyblanket was some years ago when I relearned to knit, than I used 6 months, now I used 3 weeks!!

DOLLHOUSE
I am an aunt for two girls, and me and my father made them this dollhouse.
I designed it and he made it.
I did the paintjobb and made the dolls.
Unfortunately my father made the kitchen chairs before he sew the dolls so they are a bit big..but does it really matter?
The house is about 3 years old so a lot of the turniture are now missing..especially in the bathroom...
The dolls are handsown, they are made of pipecleaner, cotton and cottonfabric. The hair is dollhairyarn from Tilda.

I´m trying to "massproduce" these and sell them in time for christmas.

MAMA´S GOT A BRAND NEW BAG

Two types of fabriques makes a bag you can wear on either side.

2 U-s in each fabrique are sown together.
First the matching colours, then all 4.
Fold the end of the U-s in and sow on the handle.

Big as a shoppingbag.
Light in weight and small when it´s empty.
Has room for absolutely everything!!!

SHELFES

I made shelfes in my tiny kitchens window.

Materials from an old ikea-cupboard.

The lowest room is for my new microwave.

THIS SOCKS!

PEARLNEKCLESS

Use a waxed cottonthread.

Place the pearls a bit apart.

Tie a knot on each side of the pearl to keep it in place.

This will make your pearlneckless a bit less posh.
